Brian Cushing returned an interception 18 yards for the tying touchdown with 9:30 to play for the Texans, who roared back from a 28-7 deficit late in the third quarter.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA coach Jim Mora and the 16th-ranked Bruins have returned to football practice for the first time since the death of walk-on receiver Nick Pasquale. The team practiced yesterday in preparation for this weekend's game at Nebraska. Pasquale was hit by a car and killed while walking in his hometown of San Clemente on Sunday. He was 20.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California coach Lane Kiffin has picked quarterback Cody Kessler to start Saturday against Boston College. Kessler and Max Wittek have been competing for the starting job since spring, but neither has been able to take hold of it. Kiffin did not announce his starting QB before the season's first two games, choosing instead to reveal it at game time.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Juan Uribe homered in each of his first three trips to the plate, and the Los Angeles Dodgers connected six times last night in an 8-1 romp over the Arizona Diamondbacks that reduced their magic number for clinching the NL West title to eight.
