VENTURA, Calif. (AP) — Police say they found a man who had been living on top of refrigerators at a Southern California supermarket and using a hole in the roof as his door.
The Ventura County Star reports Friday that Simi Valley police responding to a reported at Pavilion's found 21-year-old transient Tristan Odegard-Brown at the scene Thursday night.
Police say remnants of drywall and ceiling tiles on the suspect's clothes led them to a large hole in the roof of the store's pharmacy that Odegard-Brown had been using to get in and out of the building.
Investigators tell KCBS-TV he'd been living on top of refrigeration units in the store.
Odegard-Brown was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
