SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Two people have been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a Dodgers fan during a fight near San Francisco's AT&T Park late last night after the Giants' 6-4 win over the Dodgers. Police Chief Greg Suhr told the Chronicle that the victim was a Dodgers fan and was wearing Dodgers gear. The Medical Examiner's office has identified the victim as 24-year-old Jonathan Denver.
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Federal authorities have arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of hacking into a webcam at the California home of the newly crowned Miss Teen USA in an attempt to extort nude photos. The FBI says Jared Abrahams of Temecula is due in federal court in Santa Ana this afternoon. Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf told NBC's "Today" that she received an anonymous email threatening to go public with images captured from Wolf's webcam unless she would provide nude pictures of herself.
MADERA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in the Central Valley have arrested eight people and seized more than $1 million in processed marijuana in an operation they believe was tied to a Mexican drug trafficking organization. Madera County authorities say they found the pot and arrested the suspects after serving a search warrant yesterday on a home in Madera. Deputies say the suspects — all Mexican nationals — told investigators they didn't live at the home, but were dropped off there to work.
SAN DIEGO (AP) — A group of breastfeeding mothers staged a protest against what they say is discrimination by Poway Unified School District in San Diego County. U-T San Diego reports the protest yesterday was organized by Rachel Rainbolt. She says she was discriminated against by a teacher who told her that breastfeeding her 1-year-old during a one-on-one parent-teacher conference regarding her home-schooled 7-year-old son was inappropriate.
