SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California Driver apparently took the name Department of Motor Vehicles a little too literally.
The California Highway Patrol says a 26-year-old Las Vegas man drove his truck into a DMV office in San Bernardino on Saturday then got stuck trying to get out.
CHP Sgt. Ed Giroux (zhuh-ROH') tells the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1eCLmIP ) that investigators believe Emmanuel Alvidrez (al-VEE-drehz) crashed into the DMV intentionally, but he wasn't talking and they didn't have a motive.
Local police say the Toyota pickup plowed through barricades into the office lobby. The truck got wedged into the building as the driver tried to pull out, and he was still trying to leave when officers arrived.
The office was closed and no one was injured. It will be closed all week for repairs.
