8:30 a.m. CIVIC CENTER — A motions hearing is scheduled in Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit alleging "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry hit her hard in the face with an open hand in September 2008 during rehearsals for a scene. She alleges she was fired when she complained. A jury in the first trial deadlocked 8-4 in Sheridan's favor on her wrongful termination claim and the retrial will deal with her revised suit alleging a state Labor Code violation.

10 a.m. BEVERLY HILLS - Christie's will offer a public viewing of the original 1789 Thanksgiving Day Proclamation document signed by President George Washington. The document will be in the area as part of a national tour prior to its Nov. 14 sale. The auction house will allow media access and interview opportunities with specialists by appointment, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
