RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — A teen riding his bicycle has been struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Riverside.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports (http://bit.ly/16AAN3M) the incident occurred about 6 p.m. Thursday as the boy waited for an eastbound freight train to pass a crossing. He tried to cross the tracks when he was struck by a five-car, westbound Metrolink train.
The train stopped about a quarter mile away and passengers were taken away by a van.
Investigators will use footage from a video camera on the train's engine to help determine what happened.
