13 trees chopped at Anaheim park named for Reagan

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Anaheim police say someone chopped down 13 trees at a city park named for President Ronald Reagan.

Police said in a statement Tuesday that the trees appeared to have been chopped with an axe and left behind either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning at Ronald Reagan Park.

The 13 trees were of varying ages and the damages are still being counted but are estimated to be thousands of dollars.

Police say they are seeking one or more suspects, but gave no indication of who they might be or what their motive might have been.
