RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a student pilot and instructor aboard a small plane are fine after making an emergency landing on an Orange County toll road.
The California Highway Patrol says the single-engine plane landed on the 241 toll road's northbound lanes in Rancho Santa Margarita Sunday afternoon.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the people aboard the Evektor Aerotechnik reported an engine problem.
There was no damage to the plane.
