10:15 a.m. LOS ANGELES — The California Endowment will announce a $50 million commitment to its Sons & Brothers campaign, which aims to help boys and young men of color. Campaign partners and volunteers will also visit the homes of absent students in an effort to bring them back to school and connect families with needed social services.

1 p.m. LOS ANGELES — Sentencing is expected for George Bustamante. He pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy in a multi-defendant case targeting members and associates of the Mexican Mafia prison gang and their attempt to control drug trafficking among hundreds of Latino street gangs.
