4:30 a.m. LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Mission's Christmas Eve meal service and toy giveaway will be held. Many celebrities will participated. Food preparation and toy wrapping at 4:30 a.m.; street closure and event set-up at 6 a.m.; breakfast sandwiches served to guests in line at 7 a.m.; celebrities arrive at 10:45 a.m.; meal service at 11 a.m.; toy distribution at 11:15 a.m.

2:30 p.m. LOS ANGELES — The 54th annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration will be presented by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. More than 20 performing groups are set to participate in the free three-hour event.

4 p.m. LOS ANGELES — Roman Catholic Archbishop Jose Gomez will celebrate a 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Children's Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Additional Christmas Eve Masses are scheduled for 7 p.m. (Spanish), 9 p.m. and, at 11:30 p.m., caroling will begin prior to Midnight Mass.
