BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Stephen Holt scored a season-high 24 points to lead Saint Mary's to an 82-74 victory over Boise State Saturday.
James Walker III added 14 points and Brad Waldow contributed 11 rebounds to go with 11 points as the Gaels (8-0) remained one of the nation's 14 unbeaten teams.
Derrick Marks scored 22 points and Jeff Elorriaga added 20, making six 3-pointers for the Broncos (8-2), who lost their second consecutive game.
Saint Mary's used a 7-0 run capped by Kerry Carter's 3-pointer to take a 70-61 lead with 6:51 remaining. Boise State tallied the next eight before Anthony Drmic missed a tying free-throw with 1:46 remaining. Beau Levesque then connected on a 3-pointer with 1:21 left and the Gaels protected the lead by hitting nine of 10 free throws.
The Gaels led by 16 points in the first half before Boise State battled back to trail 46-44 at the break.
