LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rookie Tyler Toffoli scored two goals, Jarret Stoll also tallied and Ben Scrivens made 25 saves for the Los Angeles Kings in a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues last night. Scrivens, who has performed brilliantly in place of the injured Jonathan Quick, was heading toward his fourth shutout of the season when Kevin Shattenkirk and Vladimir Tarasenko scored in the final 5:54.
BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — David Kravish had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Jabari Bird added 14 points and California beat UC Irvine 73-56 last night. Kravish went 9 of 15 from the floor, most of them on mid-range jumpers. That helped offset the presence of Irvine's 7-foot-6 center Mamadou Ndiaye, the nation's tallest player, who spent most of the game in foul trouble. The Golden Bears are 6-2.
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Anthony Ireland had 16 points to lead Loyola Marymount to a 73-69 win over UC-Riverside last night. Gabe Levin added 13 points while pulling down 14 rebounds for Loyola Marymount (6-2). UC Riverside (2-4) had an early lead but Loyola Marymount gained the advantage midway through the first period.
SEATTLE (AP) — Isiah Umipig scored 30 points, hitting on 6 of 11 beyond the arc, to pace Seattle over UC Davis 77-53 last night. Umipig was 50 percent on the floor overall and made 8 of 9 free throws. Seattle (4-3) got 16 points from Shore Adenekan. Josh Ritchart led UC Davis (3-6) with 14 points.
