Police: 2 dead in San Bernardino after dispute

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Police say a 42-year-old man dialed 911 after fatally stabbing his estranged wife and daughter.

The San Bernardino Sun (http://bit.ly/1ap2lqQ ) reports Jordan Sartorio called police early Wednesday to report the stabbings and then tried to slash his own wrist. He was arrested and was expected to undergo surgery.

The couple was divorced but still lived in the same house in San Bernardino, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.

Authorities say Sartorio apparently got angry after an argument. Killed were 51-year-old Miraflor Sartorio and her 6-year-old daughter, Jira.

Neighbors were shocked by the deaths and said the couple often disagreed about money.
